Nathan Fillion attends Sundance Film Festival 2007

Nathan Fillion attended this year’s Sundance Film Festival where his film, “WAITRESS” premiered.

In their Sundance 2007 updates, Variety and Screen International have reported that the film has been amongst the first titles to have found buyers and that the film has been picked up by Fox Searchlight for $5M for the worldwide rights.

As many of you are aware, the writer/director, Adrienne Shelly, is no longer with us; she was the victim of a homicide in her New York home last September/October. A 19-year old has been charged with her murder.

Much to the disappointment of Sundance officials, tickets for “WAITRESS” appeared for sale on eBay. One ticket reportedly sold for $385, another reportedly sold for $225 and a third was reportedly listed at $227. On learning of these sales, Festival officials were quoted as saying that they had contacted parties involved and had informed them that the tickets can be remotely deactivated prior to the screening.
